October unquestionably kicks off a season of celebrations, especially in my family where we have not only the holidays but six straight months of birthdays (seriously, Hudson is the only one in my immediate family outside of the range). Being technically full-term and able to possibly go into labor at any moment hasn’t stopped the Taylors from hosting two different contingencies of houseguests over the last two weekends. It’s never too late for a last-minute visit from friends, right?

It seems like popsicles are the new cupcake, as far as trendy, gourmet desserts go. Or they may be so 2014 and I’m oblivious. Hot or not, Bart and I have jumped on the frozen pop bandwagon this summer…there’s nothing quite like putting your feet up on a warm summer evening enjoying a fresh, fruity frozen treat.

Happy Pi Day, everyone! As most of you have probably heard by now, 3-14-15 is a particularly epic (eπc?) Day, having two more inherent digits of the irrational number in the date. To celebrate the occasion, I organized “Pi Day Observed” at work on Friday…and of course it involved pie…

Bart and I were stuck inside for a couple of days due to snow. While we managed to escape yesterday before going too stir crazy, I did find myself getting rather worn down with the constant barrage of winter. However, a snow day seemed like the perfect time to whip up one of my favorite breakfast recipes, oatmeal yogurt pancakes, which I’ve decided to share with you today.

I don’t really do the traditional New Year’s Resolution, and this year is no different. However, a new beginning is always a great time to look back at what you have been doing and decide if there is anything you’d like to work toward with a fresh beginning. Last year I brainstormed a few things I’d like to do in 2014, so I thought it would be fun to take a look back and see what I actually accomplished and think of a few things I hope to tackle in 2015.
